Remote Senior Data Scientist, Product

Description:

• MoonPay is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their team and contribute to the growth and optimization of their product performance.
• The role involves providing insights and recommendations based on a deep understanding of MoonPay products, identifying opportunities for product improvements, and enhancing customer experiences.
• Responsibilities include working closely with product teams and stakeholders to review product performance, defining KPIs, designing tracking for new product launches, overseeing A/B tests, and building data products to support decision-making.
• The candidate will communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and lead projects independently while managing competing tasks and deadlines.

Requirements:

• Candidates should have 2-5+ years of hands-on experience as a data scientist or data analyst, preferably in a product-focused role.
• Proficiency in advanced SQL, data modeling, and data visualization tools is essential.
• A solid understanding of statistics and probability, along with experience in conducting large-scale A/B tests, is required.
• Experience working with product teams in an analytics role is necessary, along with an active interest in cryptocurrency and prior interaction with crypto/blockchains.
• Experience in the fintech and/or crypto space is preferred, and candidates should be adaptable to new technologies and changing priorities.
• Strong communication skills are needed to engage with cross-functional stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and C-level executives.
• Bonus points for experience with DBT, Google BigQuery, Looker, Python, and working with blockchain data.
