Description:
- Own the reliability, performance, and scalability of Scribe's data tier, including databases like Aurora, OpenSearch, and Redis.
- Set standards for database interactions across the engineering team and ensure high-stakes work on migration safety and incident response.
Requirements:
- Deep expertise in PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and understanding of MVCC, bloat, and lock contention.
- Experience with ORM at production scale, particularly Django, and familiarity with CDC pipelines, ideally using AWS DMS.
- Proficiency in automation using Python or Go, and infrastructure management with Terraform or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with observability tools like pganalyze, CloudWatch, and Honeycomb.
