The Senior DevOps Engineer will work within the Engineering productivity team, which is part of the Bureau of Technology department.
This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining infrastructure components and deployment tools for the technology ecosystem.
Responsibilities include participating in the design and development of tools and processes for engineers, maintaining development and deployment tools, and collaborating with various teams to provide tailored solutions.
The engineer will also participate in code reviews, propose improvements, diagnose and resolve issues, and lead workshops.
Requirements:
Candidates must have strong knowledge of Python, Bash, or Go, as well as infrastructure tools like Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud computing (GCP/AWS).
Experience with frontend languages and frameworks such as JavaScript, TypeScript, and VueJs is required.
A strong interest and senior experience in CI/CD, release topics, and the DevOps field are essential.
Knowledge of software architecture principles, service integration, and development best practices is necessary.
Leadership skills to manage projects and motivate teams towards common goals are important.
Candidates should be able to share knowledge and support teams across the organization.
The ability to convince and influence stakeholders to adopt best practices is required.
Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences are essential.
