Description:

  • The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for the entire lifecycle of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approaches.
  • This role involves defining automated configuration management, release management, build, test, and deployment activities.
  • The engineer will provide prototypes and concepts for further automation of assigned technology.
  • The position is part of an international team working on a significant project for Deutsche Telekom Group, impacting 30 million customers.
  • The product includes applications and websites that support end-to-end processes such as Fiber pre-ordering, ordering, installation, service management, and customer support.
  • The engineer will develop and operate Keycloak/RHSSO-based IAM capabilities on Kubernetes, enabling secure SSO and machine-to-machine access for internal products.
  • Responsibilities include standardizing deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting practices, while continuously improving reliability, security, and automation around the IAM platform.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have at least 3 years of work experience as a DevOps/Platform Engineer (or SRE) with hands-on Kubernetes operations in production environments.
  • A solid understanding of OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect concepts for modern IAM integrations and SSO flows is required.
  • Practical experience with GitOps delivery using Argo CD is necessary.
  • Experience working with containers (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab) from commit to production is essential.
  • Candidates should be comfortable scripting in Python and Bash for automation and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with Keycloak/RHSSO, including realms, clients, roles, scopes, identity providers, and themes, is required.
  • A configuration-as-code mindset for Keycloak management is necessary.
  • Experience with Kubernetes networking, Helm charts, and CI/CD using GitLab is required.
  • Candidates should have experience with PostgreSQL in operational contexts and a general understanding of how Keycloak and IAM components rely on Postgres.
  • Knowledge of security practices, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT-based authentication, is essential.
  • Candidates must have a Master's degree in Information Technologies and at least 4 years of experience with ICT systems.
