Description:

The position is for a Senior DevOps Engineer at Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions, a leading IT and telecommunications service provider in Hungary.
The Engineering Team is responsible for deploying, integrating, and operating critical enterprise applications for various customers using modern SRE and DevOps concepts in cloud environments.
The role involves conception, implementation, operation, and documentation for cloud projects, solutions, and products.
Responsibilities include performing health checks, optimizing monitoring, and executing deployments in cloud environments.
The engineer will provide customer consulting on cloud architecture and collaborate intensively with developers and internal departments on agile DevOps and operational processes.
The role requires collaboration in DevOps/agile methods, including Sprints.
Automation with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management tools is a key task.
The engineer will focus on continuous integration and delivery, with an emphasis on improving availability and performance.
Support for simple programming tasks in Python and Java is expected.
The role also includes creating structured documentation and presenting concepts and solutions to customers.

Requirements:

Candidates must have extensive experience in microservice architectures, containerization, and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker/OCI, and Helm.
A strong background in cloud infrastructure and architecture is required.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools is essential.
Candidates should have experience with databases in container deployments.
Familiarity with open-source, cloud-native technologies/concepts such as Secret Management, Container Repositories, Ingress/Egress, and Service Mesh (Istio) is necessary.
Proficiency in declarative languages like YAML and JSON is required.
Experience in automation CI/CD and GitOps using tools like ArgoCD, GitLab Pipelines, or Flux is needed.
A background in a DevOps environment, including tools like git, Jenkins/GitLab, and GitHub, is essential.
Candidates must possess scripting knowledge in Bash or Python.
English language skills at a minimum B2 level are required.
