Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their Engineering Team.
The team deploys, integrates, and operates critical enterprise applications for various customers using modern SRE and DevOps concepts in cloud environments.
The role involves conception, implementation, operation, and documentation for cloud projects, solutions, and products.
Responsibilities include performing health checks, optimizing monitoring, and executing deployments in cloud environments.
The position requires customer consulting on cloud architecture and collaboration with developers and internal departments around agile DevOps and operational processes.
The engineer will collaborate in DevOps/agile methods, including Sprints, and automate processes using Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management tools.
The role focuses on enhancing and optimizing continuous integration and delivery, with a strong emphasis on Continuous Integration.
The engineer will work on improving availability and performance, support simple programming tasks in Python and Java, create structured documentation, and present concepts and solutions to customers.

Requirements:

Candidates must have extensive experience in containers and container orchestration, specifically with Kubernetes and Helm.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Terragrunt is required.
Candidates should have cloud infrastructure and architecture experience, preferably with OTC.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools, particularly the Prometheus stack, is necessary.
Candidates must have experience with databases in container deployments.
Familiarity with open-source, cloud-native technologies and concepts, including secret management and container repositories, is required.
Experience with declarative languages such as YAML, JSON, and HCL is necessary.
Candidates should have experience in automation, CI/CD, and GitOps, specifically with Argo CD and GitLab Pipelines.
Experience in a DevOps environment using Git and GitLab is required.
Basic scripting knowledge in Bash is necessary.
English language skills at a minimum B2 level are required.
