Remote Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Berlin)

Description:

• We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer who will take ownership of crucial engineering activities at Kadmos.
• As a regulated salary payment provider in the shipping industry, we are building secure, reliable, and scalable financial solutions that empower seafarers and shipping companies worldwide.
• You will play a central role in shaping both the backend infrastructure and frontend experience of our platform, driving innovation in a highly regulated environment.
• You will be responsible for developing and maintaining core backend systems and frontend applications, building reusable libraries, implementing complex financial components, and integrating with external service providers.
• You’ll be trusted to take full ownership of your responsibilities, while collaborating closely with product, compliance, and engineering teams.
• You will contribute directly to a platform serving the global shipping industry, with the opportunity to design systems that handle secure financial transactions and deliver exceptional user experiences.

Requirements:

• You must have 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack development with Java Spring Boot and React.
• A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics is required.
• You should have expertise in Java with strong knowledge of Spring Boot and modern frameworks, SDKs, API standards, and libraries.
• You need to have expertise in React with a strong emphasis on TypeScript, and experience with Redux, React Query, styled-components, MUI Component Library, or a similar tech stack.
• Extensive hands-on experience in developing scalable and testable high-quality solutions in an agile environment is necessary.
• Solid experience with unit, integration, and performance testing (JUnit, Spock, Testcontainers on the backend; React Testing Library and Cypress on the frontend) is required.
• A strong understanding of building secure, reliable, and scalable systems, ideally in a regulated or financial services context, is essential.
• You should possess a proactive, ambitious, and collaborative mindset with a track record of delivering high-quality solutions.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
