Remote Senior Full-Stack Engineer, Internal Tools

Description:

• Lead the technical direction for Internal Tools, focusing on architecture, quality, and engineering standards.
• Design and build new internal tools and admin features from front-end to back-end.
• Collaborate with data science and product teams to apply recommendation and ranking techniques.
• Drive down technical debt and set engineering standards through design reviews.
• Create reusable components and tooling for broader project benefits.
• Serve as the escalation point for debugging and ensure security of admin interfaces.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, code reviews, and providing feedback.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software development experience with a proven track record of scalable systems.
• Strong skills in system design and architecture.
• Extensive experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
• Advanced skills in React for production environments.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Elasticsearch, including performance tuning.
• Experience in building and scaling backend systems, preferably in startups.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers.
