Description:
- HTS Assist is Hopper's AI assistant for travel, handling flight changes, cancellations, refunds, and bookings via chat and voice.
- Seeking a senior full stack engineer to manage the realtime and voice layer, working with React/TypeScript, Scala, Python, and cloud infrastructure.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of software engineering experience with senior-level ownership of production systems.
- Hands-on experience with realtime systems, voice applications, WebRTC/SIP, and low-latency products.
- Proficiency in React/TypeScript for front end and Scala/Python for backend, with cloud experience on GCP or AWS.
- Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs, microservices, or event-driven systems.
- Familiarity with AI coding tools and an operable-systems mindset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively across teams.
- Bonus: Experience with conversational AI, cloud telephony, customer service tools, and travel industry technologies.
