The position is for a Rendering Engineer (intermediate or senior) to work on a visually ambitious Unreal Engine 5 title.
Responsibilities include owning and evolving rendering features and performance for a UE5 project across PC and consoles.
The role involves driving visual quality and scalability using UE5’s modern rendering stack, including Nanite, Lumen, and virtual shadow maps.
Candidates will profile and optimize GPU and CPU frame time, frame pacing, and hitching using Unreal Insights and rendering capture tools.
Collaboration with art and tech art is required to define content constraints and best practices for performance-friendly assets.
The position supports large-world production with World Partition, including streaming strategy and memory behavior.
Responsibilities also include diagnosing and resolving visual artifacts and stability issues, contributing to rendering-related tooling, and providing clear technical communication to production and stakeholders.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 4+ years of professional game development experience, with hiring at both intermediate and senior levels.
Strong skills in Unreal Engine 5 (or UE4 with meaningful UE5 experience) and modern C++ are required.
A solid understanding of real-time rendering fundamentals, including lighting, shadows, materials, and post-processing techniques is necessary.
Demonstrated experience in improving performance and stability in a production environment is essential.
Candidates should be comfortable collaborating with cross-disciplinary partners to align visual targets with platform budgets.
The ability to take ownership, deliver maintainable solutions, and contribute constructively to team standards is required.
