Remote Senior iOS Engineer

Description:

• Own and evolve Epic's native iOS app for iPhone and iPad, working with a large Swift and Objective-C codebase.
• Manage the reading experience, including in-house book rendering and audio-text synchronization.
• Oversee offline reading, in-app purchases, and the App Store release pipeline.
• Drive app performance, stability, and quality while collaborating with Android, backend, and web teams.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping native iOS apps to the App Store.
• Strong proficiency in Swift and UIKit, with experience in a mixed Swift and Objective-C codebase.
• Proven expertise in custom UI/text rendering and real-time media-audio synchronization.
• Solid understanding of the iOS app lifecycle, including concurrency, local persistence, in-app purchases, and release pipelines.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
