Remote Senior/Lead Software Data Engineer (Roads Team)

Description:

• Join Mapbox as a Senior/Lead Software Data Engineer on the Roads Team, focusing on developing software for road features, navigation, and high-definition maps.
• Take ownership of data processing pipelines, improve existing systems, and implement new solutions while ensuring security best practices.

Requirements:

• Proficient in at least one programming language (C++, Python, Scala, or Java).
• Experience with AWS services (S3, EC2, IAM, EMR, Glue, Athena, Kinesis) or other cloud platforms.
• Comfortable with SQL and understanding of SQL engine basics.
• Knowledge of distributed computing principles and experience with workflow management tools (e.g., Airflow, Oozie, Luigi).
• Strong analytical skills and excellent communication in English.
