Description:
- Seeking a Senior Machine Learning Research Engineer for the Machine Learning Science team at Freenome.
- Responsible for developing and deploying infrastructure for deep learning (DL) models using genomic data to reduce cancer mortality.
- Role involves collaboration with machine learning scientists, computational biologists, and software engineers.
Requirements:
- MS or equivalent in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Software Engineering with AI/ML focus.
- 5+ years of industry experience in AI/ML software engineering pipelines.
- Proficiency in Python or other programming languages (Java, C++, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of ML/DL fundamentals and experience with frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- In-depth knowledge of scalable computing platforms (Ray, DeepSpeed) and cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud).
- Understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Proven experience in optimizing workflows for training DL models and managing large datasets.
- Proficiency in version control (Git) and CI/CD practices.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills.
Benefits:
- Base salary range of $173,775 - $246,750, with eligibility for equity and cash bonuses.
