Description:

  • The Senior Microsoft BI Software Engineer / Consultant is a key member of the Common Data Intelligence (CDI) Hub, responsible for the end-to-end development, delivery, and operation of enterprise Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions.
  • This role combines deep hands-on development with solution ownership, technical leadership, and mentoring, ensuring BI solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with business needs.
  • The CDI Hub is an enterprise analytics organization responsible for building and operating standardized Data Warehouse and BI solutions across multiple business domains.
  • The team works in an agile, collaborative environment, delivering high-quality analytics products used by international stakeholders.
  • Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise Data Warehouse and BI solutions, taking end-to-end ownership of BI solutions, developing advanced SQL solutions on Microsoft SQL Server, translating business requirements into scalable BI architectures, implementing security and data protection concepts, driving solution optimization initiatives, supervising acceptance testing, overseeing end-user support, acting as a senior technical leader, collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders, working in an agile development environment, contributing to continuous improvement, and supporting solution design discussions.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a comparable field is required.
  • Strong senior-level experience in Microsoft BI development is essential.
  • Advanced experience across Data Warehouse, Reporting, and Dashboarding solutions is necessary.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) and advanced SQL development is required.
  • Strong knowledge of performance-aware query design and dimensional data modeling is needed.
  • Experience taking end-to-end ownership of BI solutions from development through production and support is required.
  • Experience implementing and enhancing security and access concepts within BI environments is necessary.
  • Proven ability to drive solution improvements, optimizations, and technical quality is essential.
  • Experience supervising acceptance testing and ensuring delivery readiness is required.
  • Experience supporting operational stability and end-user support for production BI systems is necessary.
  • The candidate should act as a senior contributor within a BI development team, providing technical leadership and mentoring.
  • Enjoyment of knowledge sharing and collaborative problem solving in cross-functional teams is important.
  • Strong experience working in agile development environments is required.
  • Daily hands-on experience using Jira for backlog, task, and delivery management is necessary.
  • A solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical thinking and structured working style is essential.
  • The ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable BI solutions is required.
  • Confident communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is necessary.
  • Comfort working in large, international data & analytics environments is important.
