Description:
- Own online systems for search, retrieval, and recommendation serving.
- Work with the AI team to build a self-owned discovery stack for the marketplace.
- Collaborate with data scientists on relevance and ranking models.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in building backend or platform systems in production.
- 2+ years of experience operating a production search engine (e.g., Elasticsearch, OpenSearch).
- Experience with low-latency services and streaming ingestion (e.g., Kafka, Debezium).
- Strong proficiency in Python and comfortable with TypeScript.
- Experience with A/B testing and staged rollouts.
