FutureFit AI is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join their Platform Team.
The role involves building scalable systems that eliminate manual work and enhance integrations, allowing the team to operate more efficiently.
The position is hands-on and high-impact, significantly influencing daily operations and user support.
The first 30 days will focus on learning and integrating with the team, including building relationships, participating in onboarding, and identifying areas for improvement.
From days 31 to 60, the engineer will take ownership of reducing manual tasks and support system automation, creating technical requirements for vendor partners, and prioritizing work effectively.
In the final 30 days, the engineer will lead a self-initiated project aimed at eliminating manual support tasks and participate in customer calls to clarify workflows.
The tech stack includes TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, and event-driven architectures.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 5-8+ years of experience in platform, DevOps, or backend roles focused on operational tooling and workflow automation.
Applicants must have deep experience in designing and automating workflows across cloud-based systems, preferably AWS.
Proficiency in event-driven architectures using tools like AWS EventBridge, SQS, Lambda, or Kafka is required.
Strong backend development skills in TypeScript and Node.js, with experience in automating operational processes, are essential.
Experience integrating third-party APIs and automating data flows across systems is necessary.
Knowledge of queueing, retries, and idempotency patterns is important to replace manual interventions with automation.
Strong debugging and systems-thinking abilities are required to identify and resolve process bottlenecks.
Excellent collaboration skills to work across various functions, including support and engineering, are essential.
