  • The role of Senior Platform Engineer involves building the backbone of the platform by designing smart, scalable systems that eliminate manual work and power seamless integrations.
  • This is a hands-on, high-impact role that will significantly influence how the team works, ships, and supports users daily.
  • The first 30 days will focus on learning and integrating into the team, building relationships, participating in onboarding, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • From days 31-60, the engineer will take ownership of toil reduction and support system automation, creating clear technical requirements for vendor partners.
  • The final 30 days will involve leading a self-initiated project aligned with strategic goals and participating in customer calls to clarify workflows.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have deep experience designing and automating workflows across cloud-based systems, preferably AWS.
  • Proficiency with event-driven architectures using tools like AWS EventBridge, SQS, Lambda, or Kafka is required.
  • Strong scripting and backend development skills in TypeScript and Node.js for automating operational and support processes are necessary.
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs and automating data flows across internal and external systems is essential.
  • Knowledge of queueing, retries, and idempotency patterns to replace manual intervention with resilient automation is needed.
  • Strong debugging and systems-thinking abilities to identify and remove process bottlenecks are required.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work across support, customer success, and engineering functions are necessary.
  • Candidates should have 5–8+ years in platform, DevOps, or backend roles focused on operational tooling and workflow automation.
  • Experience leading initiatives to reduce manual support tasks by building internal tools or automation is required.
  • Candidates should have designed and maintained serverless or event-driven architectures to streamline async processes.
