Remote Senior Professional Services Software Engineer - India

Description:

• JumpCloud is seeking a Senior Professional Services Software Engineer to join the Customer Tools engineering team, which focuses on creating and maintaining custom solutions for customers.
• The role involves building automation tools, interactive CLI scripts, and custom reports to enhance customer experience.
• Responsibilities include meeting with customers to build solutions, collaborating with the Customer Tools team, tracking work using Jira, and interacting directly with customers on project implementation.
• The engineer will identify trends for tooling improvements, communicate with various internal departments, lead meetings, and represent the team in strategic discussions.
• The position requires designing complex tools using advanced programming knowledge and leading the prioritization of work for sprints.
• The engineer will also provide mentorship to less experienced team members and contribute to key initiatives across departments.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a strong desire to create solutions that simplify IT administration.
• A creative problem-solving approach and understanding of the value of scripts and tools for customers are essential.
• Applicants should have at least 9 years of programming/scripting experience in a professional environment, such as an internal IT department, MSP, or software company.
• Experience working in an agile software team and familiarity with all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is required.
• Candidates should have experience leading technical teams and owning engineering initiatives.
• A Bachelor’s degree along with 8-9+ years of relevant experience is necessary.
• Technical expertise in PowerShell scripting, Bash scripting, Windows/Mac administration, cloud computing services (AWS, Azure, GWS), RESTful APIs, Git repository management, and Python or other object-oriented languages is required.
