Description:
- Fliff is a social sports gaming platform that offers free-to-play games for sports fans, focusing on engagement and fun alternatives to real money gaming.
- The DataFeed Team is responsible for ingesting, normalizing, validating, and distributing external sports data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- The Senior Python Engineer will build and evolve core systems for Fliff’s sports data platform, ensuring data correctness and resilience.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of production experience with Python.
- Experience designing and operating backend services in production.
- Solid Django experience and asynchronous programming skills (asyncio).
- Production experience with Apache Kafka.
- Strong SQL skills, especially with PostgreSQL.
- Experience integrating with external APIs and data providers.
- Ability to reason about data correctness and edge cases.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and debugging production systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to participate in on-call rotations.
