Description:

  • A Senior QA Engineer is an associate at Creative Chaos responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions.
  • They will review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics.
  • Senior engineers are expected to mentor their juniors and build team strength through training.
  • The role involves planning, organizing, and implementing day-to-day activities of testing while collaborating with developers, architects, and technical release managers within an agile/scrum environment.
  • The engineer will participate in scrum and product planning and be responsible for all phases and types of testing, including strategies, requirements, planning, management, execution, and reporting.
  • They will document and facilitate communication and troubleshooting of issues, bugs, and changes, validating and closing out all issues prior to client delivery.
  • Collaboration with other QA associates is essential to accomplish all daily QA tasks on time with a high level of quality.
  • The engineer will develop a process to ensure the highest level of quality assurance possible and investigate procedures, workflows, and software to keep processes up to date.
  • They will assist in the development of ongoing training programs for the QA Team and provide department-specific orientation and training for new hires.
  • Maintaining open communication with internal teams and assisting with internal project kickoffs and requirements/specs gathering is also part of the role.
  • The engineer must understand complex business and functional requirements and provide direction in designing technical test cases that thoroughly test the tech stack from an architectural standpoint and meet project requirements.
  • They will work with project and engineering teams to implement and enforce quality gates at each stage of the pipeline.

Requirements:

  • A BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject is required.
  • Candidates must have 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes is essential.
  • Experience in Manual Testing, Performance Testing, Functional Testing, Regression Testing, and Integration Testing is required.
  • Candidates should have experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Hands-on experience with both white-box and black-box testing is necessary.
  • A solid knowledge of SQL and scripting is required.
  • Proficiency in Postman and JMeter is essential.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process is required.
