Remote Senior Software Developer, API Platform and Ecosystem

Description:

• Design, build, and operate MaintainX’s public-facing REST APIs with a focus on consistency, scalability, and developer experience.
• Implement platform standards and patterns including authentication, rate limiting, versioning, and error semantics.
• Develop robust batch and bulk API operations for high-volume data synchronization.
• Decouple REST API from monolithic dependencies and ensure stability through strong contract testing.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and produce developer documentation and reference implementations.
• Enable automation-driven onboarding flows and build standardized integration foundations.
• Own production services and drive performance tuning based on data.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in backend systems and APIs.
• Strong experience with service-oriented backend development in TypeScript, Go, or C#.
• Proficient in relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) including schema design and query optimization.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals and experience with production-grade APIs.
• Strong testing mindset and hands-on CI/CD experience.
• Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Design, and customer-facing teams.
