Remote Senior Software Engineer, Auctions

Description:

• Build and scale high-concurrency bidding and listing systems for auctions, impacting nine figures of annual GMV.
• Develop AI-powered features for instant valuations and personalized discovery of collectibles.
• Design management tools for high-frequency sellers and enhance the overall auction experience.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in building and scaling complex applications using Python, Postgres, and AWS or similar.
• Proficient in modern frontend technologies, particularly React and TypeScript, with a focus on real-time UIs.
• Proven track record of maintaining system reliability under high traffic conditions.
• Experience in implementing AI features that solve real business problems.
• Strong product instincts with an understanding of collector needs and motivations.
• High agency and ability to execute independently.
• Bonus: Experience with personalization engines, recommendation systems, or AI/ML integrations; startup experience; interest in the collectibles market.
