• The Senior Software Engineer, Backend will design, maintain, and evolve backend services and APIs that connect Phantom Cash to blockchains.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
• A pragmatic engineering mindset that focuses on results and user impact, rather than abstract purity, is essential.
• The candidate must be proactive and outcome-oriented, anticipating problems and pushing features to completion without waiting for perfect specifications.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to solve problems pragmatically are necessary, with a preference for progress over perfection.
• Experience with Node.js / NestJS at scale, including event-driven design (queues, retries, idempotency), is required.
• Knowledge of REST API architecture, including versioning, pagination, error models, authentication, and rate-limiting, is essential.
• Full-stack awareness is needed to understand the trade-offs of state management and latency budgets.
• A solid understanding of distributed-systems fundamentals, including concurrency, ordering, retries, and data consistency, is required.
