  • The role involves developing a next-generation, horizontally scalable recordkeeping platform, blending accounting principles with scalable, distributed systems.
  • Responsibilities include building and maintaining software for processing retirement savings, improving complex processes, collaborating with engineers and stakeholders, writing clean code, and participating in the development life cycle.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in building and maintaining backend software is required.
  • Experience in building large-scale backend systems and managing elastic workloads using queue/worker and streaming architectures is necessary.
  • Candidates must have experience scaling database platforms, including NoSQL and SQL.
  • Experience in migrating to modern scalable technologies from monolithic systems while maintaining high reliability and availability is essential.
  • A strong understanding of accounting and 401(k) domains is preferred.
  • Candidates should possess a proactive mindset and a desire to learn and grow, along with the ability to write maintainable code.
  • A formal training in a computer science-related discipline, preferably a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, is required.
