Remote Senior Software Engineer (Java)

Description:

• Join Kunai as a Senior Software Engineer to support a digital payments modernization program for a major U.S. financial institution.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, primarily in Java.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (Oracle and/or PostgreSQL) and experience in containerized environments (OpenShift, Kubernetes).
• Experience in performance testing, profiling, and bottleneck resolution in distributed systems.
• Background in digital payments or financial services technology preferred, with understanding of PCI compliance.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, able to work in matrixed environments.
