The Senior Software Engineer will help scale the platform, drive feature delivery, and support legacy modernization and new product growth.
Responsibilities include writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code, designing and maintaining Ruby on Rails services, and enhancing existing products.
The engineer will own end-to-end development of features that drive revenue and scale the platform.
The role involves optimizing database queries and API performance, contributing to architectural improvements, and participating in technical design discussions.
Participation in a shared on-call rotation is required to maintain system health.
Continuous improvement of code quality, testing, and deployment practices is expected.
Minimal travel of up to 2–3 days per quarter may be required.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience building production-grade Ruby on Rails applications is required.
Strong proficiency with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL is necessary.
A solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and software design principles is essential.
Proficiency in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and writing maintainable, well-tested code is required.
Experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS services, is necessary.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows is required.
A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is needed.
Strong skills in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization are essential.
Comfort in working in Agile development environments is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $105,000-115,000, not including variable compensation.
