The team has extensive experience in building marketplace, machine learning, fintech, and enterprise software companies.
The role is for a Senior Software Engineer with strong backend and cloud infrastructure experience to build systems that power billing for modern B2B companies.
The engineer will own revenue-critical infrastructure, ensuring correctness and uptime, and will work on the evolution of a platform that processes merchant actions for billing.
Responsibilities include designing event streaming pipelines, building scalable data systems, shaping backend architecture, and driving impact within a small team.
The ideal candidate should enjoy building scalable systems, have experience in event-driven architectures, and be comfortable with backend development in strongly-typed languages.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience building systems that scale and understand tradeoffs in designing for throughput, latency, and cost.
Strong experience in event-driven architectures is required, including building pub/sub systems and working with event streaming platforms.
Candidates should have a deep understanding of data systems, including analytical databases or OLAP systems, and be able to reason about storage and query optimization.
Experience in provisioning cloud resources and writing infrastructure-as-code is necessary, along with the ability to model and optimize costs.
Proficiency in backend coding in strongly-typed languages is essential; prior experience with Kotlin is a plus but not mandatory.
Candidates should be eager to work on new challenges and thrive in an uncertain, fast-paced environment.
A customer-centric mindset is important, as the role involves working directly with customer data and understanding their problems.

The salary range for this role is $175,000 - £195,000 plus share options.
