Remote Senior Software Implementation Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Software Implementation Engineer is responsible for the technical configuration of the Lumin Digital banking product and the conversion of data into the platform.
• This role involves consulting with clients on technical components from implementation kickoff through production launch and providing custom solutions using Lumin Digital’s SDK.
• The ideal candidate will bring a strong software technical background, analytical skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
• Essential functions include configuring the digital banking product during and after implementation to meet client needs, serving as a technical advisor to clients and internal services teams throughout the implementation process, and collaborating with development, services, product, and support teams as part of cross-functional efforts.
• The engineer will create implementation documentation and task lists for digital banking features, identify and lead improvements to organizational best practices to enhance delivery efficiency, and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and issues affecting deadlines.
• They will manage and support data conversion efforts for client launches, vendor changes, and mergers or acquisitions, troubleshoot and resolve implementation issues, and support production operations by addressing technical challenges as needed.
• The role will grow with a thorough understanding of the Lumin Digital platform, SDK, and implementation processes within the first 30 days, taking ownership of key configuration and data conversion tasks within 90 days, and leading complex client implementations and mentoring junior team members within a year.

Requirements:

• Advanced implementation or development experience in digital banking or financial services is required.
• Knowledge of cloud-native technologies such as Kibana, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS is necessary.
• Proficiency with microservice architecture and strong experience using relational databases, including SQL, is essential.
• Proficiency with agile project management tools, such as JIRA, is required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills are necessary for this role.
• The ability to multitask, prioritize, problem solve, and work independently in high-pressure environments is essential.
• Experience leading requirement-gathering meetings and providing estimates for custom requests is required.
• The candidate must have the ability to design, develop, document, and modify software systems.
• Strong peer review skills to ensure code quality and maintainability are necessary.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; however, five years of work experience in the software industry will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Benefits:

• The salary for this position ranges from $145,000 to $165,000 a year.
• Travel is minimal, generally 12 days or less per year, with approximately two team get-togethers a year.
