Remote Senior Solution Architect (Application)

Description:

• Own the end-to-end technical design of applications, including services, APIs, integrations, and system communication.
• Define and guide application architecture using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Design APIs and integrations across multiple systems.
• Guide engineering teams on architectural and technical design decisions.
• Review implemented solutions to ensure alignment with the defined architecture.
• Maintain clear and practical architecture documentation for new engineers.
• Design and support event-driven architectures using Kafka.
• Work with self-managed infrastructure rather than managed cloud services.
• Contribute with a strong hands-on background in both backend and frontend development.
• Apply solution/application architecture experience within a product-company environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience owning solution or application architecture, beyond senior-level development responsibilities.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of REST API design and microservices architecture.
• Experience designing integrations and communication between multiple systems.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and Kafka.
• Strong backend and frontend technical background.
• Experience working with self-managed infrastructure rather than relying primarily on managed cloud services.
• Ability to document architecture clearly and practically for engineering teams.
• Experience working in a product company, rather than project delivery only.
• Strong ability to guide engineering teams and make architectural design decisions.
