The position is for a Senior WordPress Plugin Developer who is experienced and highly skilled in building robust, scalable web applications.
The role involves contributing to the full development lifecycle of UpdraftCentral, a platform aimed at empowering website owners.
The developer will lead the design, development, and implementation of new features, complex modules, and critical bug fixes using PHP, JavaScript, and WordPress.
Responsibilities include ensuring the highest coding standards through code and peer reviews, mentoring other developers, and collaborating on technical architecture.
The developer will also be involved in problem-solving, researching, and resolving complex technical challenges, and translating requirements into technical specifications.
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of significant experience in PHP WordPress Plugin Development, with a deep understanding of the WordPress ecosystem and best practices.
Proven experience in code review or peer review, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and enforce coding standards.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and offer technical guidance to less experienced developers.
Expert-level proficiency in PHP, with experience in developing complex, object-oriented applications.
Strong command of JavaScript and jQuery for front-end interfaces.
Solid understanding and practical experience with SQL databases, including database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
Extensive experience with server environments and hosting configurations, such as Apache, Nginx, and cloud platforms.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git, GitHub, or GitLab.
Experience with optimizing plugin performance and prefetching data is highly desirable.
