Remote Smart Contract Engineer

Description:

• Paxos Labs is on a mission to scale access to Decentralized Finance (DeFi) for the masses, working with major financial enterprises to build transparent and verifiable on-chain infrastructure.
• The smart contract team is seeking a motivated developer who can research and deploy extensive knowledge across DeFi to create mission-critical software for large enterprises.
• The ideal candidate should have an interest in DeFi Yield Strategies, Tokenization, Decentralized Lending, and Under/un-collateralized Lending.
• Responsibilities include researching and designing novel protocol mechanisms around vaults and lending, leading protocol decision-making, developing Solidity contracts, and maintaining high organizational and security standards for an open-source codebase.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have deep knowledge in Lending codebases such as Compound, Aave, Morpho Blue, MakerDAO, Euler, EVC, Liquity, and Pendle.
• Candidates should also possess deep knowledge in Vaults codebases including Yearn V3, Metamorpho/Morpho V2, BoringVaults, ERC7540, and Centrifuge.
• Familiarity with AMMs or solver networks like CoW Protocol, UniswapX, 1inch, and Uniswap V3/V4 is required.
• Familiarity with RFQs such as Hashflow, 1inch RFQ, or off-chain exchange systems is also necessary.
• Experience in shipping production Solidity smart contract code to mainnet is essential.
• Candidates should have experience developing and maintaining tests for smart contract code, including unit testing, fork testing, fuzzing, and invariant testing.
• Proficiency with smart contract development tools such as Foundry or Hardhat is required.
• Familiarity with other smart contract development languages and frameworks like Vyper, Rust, Cairo, or Cosmwasm is a plus.
• Experience as an active degen/investor/user in DeFi protocols is preferred.
• Additional nice-to-haves include personal experience in CTFs, gas golfing, hackathons, blockchain architecture beyond Solidity, and node operations.
