  • The company has over 100 million downloads worldwide and operates offices in Lisbon and San Francisco.
  • The Software Architect / Solutions Architect will define and oversee the overall system architecture for the AI-powered platform.
  • Responsibilities include collaborating with engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to design scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
  • The role involves shaping technology strategy, evaluating new tools and frameworks, and ensuring best practices in software design, cloud infrastructure, and system integration.
  • Key responsibilities include defining and maintaining the overall architecture, providing technical leadership, designing system diagrams, evaluating technologies, ensuring high availability and security, overseeing system integrations, and conducting architecture reviews.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have around 6+ years of experience in software development and architecture.
  • Strong expertise in system design, cloud computing, and microservices architecture is required.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is necessary.
  • Proficiency in backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, .NET) and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) is essential.
  • Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL), caching strategies, and data pipelines is required.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures, API design, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is necessary.
  • A strong understanding of security best practices, identity management, and encryption techniques is required.
  • Candidates must be able to evaluate trade-offs in architectural decisions, balancing scalability, cost, and complexity.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) is necessary.
  • Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to explain complex architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
