Snapsheet is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Data team, which focuses on data and analytics for their platforms.
The role involves building internal tools, improving visibility into business operations, and supporting scalable, data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining internal tools for data flows and reporting, designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and ETL processes, and ensuring data quality and reliability.
The engineer will collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to develop tools that empower data-driven decision-making.
Contributions to backend services and frontend interfaces related to data tooling are expected.
Participation in system design discussions and agile ceremonies such as standups and sprint planning is required.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 2–3 years of full-stack web development experience.
Strong frontend skills in React, JavaScript, or other web frameworks are necessary.
Foundational experience or interest in Ruby on Rails is preferred, along with familiarity with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
Comfort in writing and optimizing SQL queries is required.
Exposure to or curiosity about ETL pipelines and data modeling is beneficial.
A solid understanding of web application architecture and modern development best practices is expected.
Strong attention to detail, especially when working with data, is essential.
A proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a collaborative working style are important.
Excellent communication skills and eagerness to learn and iterate quickly are necessary.
