  • Eurofins Forensic Services (EFS) offers advanced analytical facilities and a comprehensive range of forensic testing solutions to police forces and legal organizations in the UK and Europe.
  • The company is seeking a software engineer with hands-on full stack experience in application development to support transformational work across the Forensics divisions.
  • The role is remote, with flexibility to attend meetups in Birmingham and Tamworth as needed.
  • Key responsibilities include trusting your software, participating in iteration planning and estimation, increasing development experience, taking responsibility for pull requests, and maintaining team documentation wikis.
  • The software engineer will focus on front-end SPA development with Blazor, .NET Core API development with C#, and using Entity Framework.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have experience in the full software development life cycle within an agile team, including story estimation, planning, and grooming a product backlog.
  • Practical experience in building sustainable, scalable, and well-documented APIs is required.
  • Front-end SPA framework experience is necessary.
  • A good working knowledge of tools such as Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, GIT Source control, and SQL Server Management Studio/Azure Data Studio is essential.
  • Desirable skills include Continuous Integration and Deployment using Azure DevOps, experience with Hangfire, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, and familiarity with Test Driven Development and writing Unit Tests.
  • Applicants must have five years of continuous residency in the UK to obtain security clearance, which is required for this role.
