Description:

Join Whatnot, the largest livestream shopping platform in North America and Europe, as a Software Engineer in the Infrastructure Reliability Engineering team.
Build distributed systems, services, and frameworks to ensure reliability as the platform scales.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in designing and building large-scale distributed systems, preferably in Python, Elixir, or Go.
Strong fundamentals in shared production services and frameworks.
Experience with traffic control mechanisms, load testing, chaos testing, observability, SLOs, and incident response.
Comfortable in cloud-native environments (AWS or GCP) with Kubernetes and infrastructure as code.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Bonus: Experience with high-traffic, real-time systems and building developer-facing tools.
