The company is seeking a senior Product Engineer to join a mission-driven team.
The role involves owning end-to-end features that translate the AI engine into user-friendly experiences.
Responsibilities include shaping the data layer by defining schemas, indexes, and migrations in Postgres to ensure fast queries as data grows.
The engineer will build dependable services by writing Node/TypeScript APIs that serve both machine learning pipelines and React clients.
The role requires connecting APIs to accessible React screens and refining the design system as necessary.
The engineer will publish model outputs with plain-language explanations and implement monitoring for trustworthiness.
Ensuring security and compliance with HIPAA and SOC2 requirements while maintaining straightforward CI/CD and IaC workflows is essential.
Mentoring teammates and guiding technical direction as the company grows is also part of the role.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience building production web applications with a Node.js + TypeScript backend and a React front end.
Strong PostgreSQL skills are required, including schema design, indexing, and query tuning, along with hands-on experience with Prisma or a similar ORM.
Applicants should be comfortable designing RESTful APIs and writing tests that run in CI/CD environments.
A product mindset is essential, with ownership of performance, usability, and accessibility from idea to shipping.
Bonus points for experience with serverless or edge deployments (AWS Lambda, Vercel, Netlify) and Terraform for IaC.
Familiarity with design systems (MUI or similar) and modern accessibility standards is a plus.
Experience with observability tooling (e.g., Sentry) and authentication flows is beneficial.
A background in healthcare, fintech, or other data-heavy, regulated domains is advantageous.
