Remote Software Engineer, SMS Adapter

Description:

• Ottimate is an AI-powered Accounts Payable automation platform.
• The role involves developing the SMS Adapter to connect store-level systems to Ottimate's AP platform.
• High-ownership and high-autonomy position, working closely with product owners and IT contacts.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with end-to-end product ownership.
• Experience in building software for end-user machines, including packaging and distribution.
• Strong database skills and ability to reverse-engineer schemas.
• Proven track record in writing reliable integration and sync code.
• Practical testing instincts for real-world failure modes.
• Comfort with ambiguity in a fast-moving product area.
• Bonus: Experience with retail/grocery back-office systems or POS integrations.
