Remote Sr. Software Engineer

Description:

• As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead a cross-functional team to develop software using a modern technology stack, including Python, Vue.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, and AWS.
• You will coach and mentor team members, fostering an environment focused on creative problem-solving and building scalable software.
• Responsibilities include designing, documenting, and implementing features, writing and refactoring RESTful APIs, and ensuring software maintainability and security.
• You will also write unit tests, mentor junior engineers, champion Agile and SDLC processes, and collaborate with product managers on user stories and sprint planning.
• The role involves troubleshooting issues, performing code reviews, and providing insights for technical decisions.

Requirements:

• A B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in Software Development, with responsibilities across all phases of the SDLC.
• A minimum of 4 years of application development experience in Python is necessary.
• Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience with front-end tools such as Vue.js, React, or Angular.
• Experience in writing APIs using frameworks like FastApi, Tornado, Flask, or Django is required.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques, distributed systems, and debugging is essential.
• Experience with relational databases such as Postgres, RedShift, or ClickHouse, including query plan optimization, is needed.
• Candidates must demonstrate the ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently.
• Familiarity with AI development, including LLMs and AI agents, is preferred.
• Experience working in an Agile environment is required.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and cannot require visa sponsorship.
