Remote Staff Backend Engineer (.NET) (f/m/d)

Description:

• Architect and develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend systems in a modern tech environment.
• Champion architectural decisions and lead design discussions with a focus on long-term impact and cross-team alignment.
• Mentor engineers and drive technical excellence through collaboration.
• Identify opportunities for technical innovation, system evolution, and performance improvements, especially with AI and automation.
• Build and maintain internal tools and infrastructure (AWS, Terraform) to empower teams.
• Ensure high platform availability through best practices for observability and operational excellence.
• Participate in on-call rotations and act as a problem solver during incidents.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in backend development, with experience in a staff-level or technical leadership role.
• Expert-level knowledge of C# (.NET 8+) and strong experience with PostgreSQL or solid SQL skills.
• Proven experience designing and scaling distributed systems in cloud-native environments (preferably AWS).
• Comfortable with containerized services and infrastructure-as-code (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT).
• Growth mindset and curiosity about AI and automation in development.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, able to articulate ideas clearly.
• Pragmatic problem-solving approach, knowing when to build custom vs. leverage existing tools.
• Experience with event-driven systems and streaming technologies (Kafka is a plus).
• Fluent in English.
