• The role of Staff Cloud Infrastructure Engineer involves building efficient, reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure and developer platforms.
• Responsibilities include designing and building infrastructure and tooling to support the Assured platform, automating infrastructure provisioning and management with Terraform and Terragrunt, and evolving platform foundations across AWS.
• The engineer will partner with product and engineering teams to improve performance and reliability, strengthen security posture, and enhance developer experience.
• The position requires leading, mentoring, and collaborating with engineers across the company to raise technical excellence and infrastructure practices.

Requirements:

• Candidates should have experience in autonomously designing, building, and scaling high-quality infrastructure from early stages to maturity.
• A default inclination towards automation while knowing when to prioritize pragmatism and simplicity is essential.
• Proactive identification and resolution of critical infrastructure problems, with collaboration across teams, is required.
• The ability to improve others through code reviews, documentation, technical guidance, and mentorship is necessary.
• Candidates must navigate ambiguity and persist through challenges, rallying others when needed.
• Experience in architecting and operating highly available database solutions, ideally Aurora PostgreSQL, is preferred.
• Self-motivation, resourcefulness, and comfort working with minimal oversight are important traits.
• A strong commitment to reliability and building sustainable systems is essential.
• Strong experience with AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes in a scaling environment is required.
• A solid engineering background and history of designing resilient systems are necessary.
