Remote Staff Engineer, Flight Software

Description:

• Join BlackSky as a Staff Flight Software Engineer in the Satellite Embedded Software Group (ESG).
• Responsible for software design, development, and technical leadership for satellite imaging payload and ADCS subsystems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical software features and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Preferred location is Tukwila, WA, with remote candidates considered.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in commercial/embedded software development.
• Expertise in C/C++ and Python, embedded systems, and Embedded Linux.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and may require US citizenship.
