The Staff Machine Learning Engineer will lead initiatives to integrate machine learning into the platform, designing, building, and deploying models that enhance clinical insights, financial outcomes, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities include designing production ML systems, building evaluation frameworks, integrating models into the platform, and collaborating with product managers and veterinary professionals.
The role requires strong Python engineering skills and a passion for creating impactful ML solutions.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 6+ years of experience in building and deploying machine learning models in production.
Strong proficiency in Python and experience with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn are essential.
Familiarity with Snowflake ML, Databricks, or other ML orchestration tools is required.
Experience in designing and maintaining ML pipelines, feature stores, and data workflows is necessary.
Candidates should be comfortable working with structured and unstructured data and selecting appropriate modeling techniques.
Familiarity with LLMs and experience integrating them into user-facing applications is preferred.
Knowledge of model evaluation, monitoring, and retraining in live environments is important.

The typical base pay range for this role is $160,000/year - $230,000/year, with a specific range for Colorado being $175,000 - $200,000, plus bonuses and equity.
