Remote Staff Machine Learning Engineer - VoIP Infrastructure

Description:

• Design, develop, and implement VoIP infrastructure and telephony platforms for AI-driven voice workloads.
• Collaborate with engineering, Product, and infrastructure teams for efficient performance and seamless integration across telecom systems.
• Improve SRE practices by translating operational use cases into software tooling requirements.
• Execute deployment and support activities for VoIP systems and AI/ML developers in production environments.
• Build high-quality, scalable, and reusable code while enforcing software engineering best practices.
• Understand detailed requirements from product owners and manage code from design to delivery.
• Integrate LLMs into voice platforms and real-time communication systems.
• Mentor colleagues and promote knowledge-sharing across telecom and AI engineering disciplines.

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with VoIP systems using SIP/RTP protocols.
• Knowledge of Kamailio, RTPEngine, FreeSWITCH, SBCs, and PSTN systems.
• Experience integrating applications on top of LLMs and prompt engineering.
• 4+ years of development experience with Python, GoLang, Java, or similar languages.
• 4+ years of experience with distributed workloads on Kubernetes in a DevOps environment.
• Experience with cloud-native software and software-defined networking.
• Familiarity with DevOps tooling (e.g., Helm, Ansible, Kubernetes, Prometheus, GitLab CI) is a plus.
• Experience in compliance and security in regulated environments is a plus.
• 4+ years of experience in infrastructure and platform operations, deployments, SRE, and DevOps.
