Description:
- Seeking a Staff Machine Learning Scientist to grow the Machine Learning Science team at Freenome.
- Responsible for developing algorithms for early blood-based cancer detection tests using ML/DL methods.
- Collaborate with computational and molecular biologists to design research experiments.
- Role can be hybrid (2-3 days in office) or remote, reporting to the Director of Machine Learning Science.
Requirements:
- PhD or equivalent in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, etc.) with AI emphasis.
- 6+ years of postdoc or industry experience in machine learning and deep learning.
- Proven expertise in independent research and impactful modeling techniques.
- Strong understanding of ML/DL models and training paradigms.
- Proficient in programming languages (Python, R, etc.) and ML frameworks (Pytorch, Tensorflow).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
Benefits:
- Base salary range of $199,675 - $283,500, with eligibility for equity and cash bonuses.
