The Staff Software Developer will lead the Imports & Exports team, focusing on data importation and inter-account data transfers.
This role involves designing and delivering a scalable re-architecture of the Jane-to-Jane transfer system for data portability between clinics.
The position is foundational to Jane's long-term growth and customer retention strategy.
Collaborate with PMs, designers, support teams, and infrastructure leads to define product briefs and gather scope from various stakeholders.
Engage with the Architecture Leadership Team to improve core engineering processes across Jane.
Provide technical guidance and promote best practices to elevate the team’s architectural and process maturity.
Requirements:
Candidates must have depth and diversity of experience, already operating at the Staff level, with a well-rounded perspective on various development methodologies and team collaboration.
Extensive experience in design and architecture, making impactful architectural decisions across multiple teams.
A University Degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field, with approximately 10+ years of experience, or 13+ years of industry experience through non-traditional paths.
Proven experience leading technical efforts across multiple teams and establishing best practices.
A desire to remain actively involved in coding while leading teams through technical challenges.
Ability to create technical roadmaps that align engineering efforts with strategic business goals.
Strong communication skills to convey complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with Ruby on Rails is preferred, but applicants with experience in other OOP languages are also encouraged to apply.
Benefits:
The role offers a minimum annual salary of $154,400 and a maximum of $241,300, with a starting salary of $183,400 for fully accomplished candidates.
