Requirements:
A University Degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field, with approximately 10+ years of experience; candidates with a Master's or PhD may be considered with less experience.
Candidates with 13+ years of industry experience through non-traditional paths are also encouraged to apply.
Demonstrated experience operating at the Staff level across multiple products and companies.
Strong experience in designing and evolving backend systems, with a focus on scaling architecture; experience with Rails is valued but not required.
Proven ability to model complex business domains and translate them into scalable system architectures.
Solid knowledge of frontend technologies, particularly React, is a significant bonus.
Extensive experience in design and architecture, making impactful decisions across teams.
Experience in creating and upholding technical standards and best practices.
A desire to remain involved in coding while leading teams through technical challenges.
Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience driving internal education efforts such as design reviews and mentorship programs.
Familiarity with Ruby on Rails is preferred, but experience in other OOP languages is also welcome.

The annual salary range for this role is $154,400 to $241,300, reflecting the growth journey within the position.
Most new hires start at the accomplished stage with an annual salary of $183,400.
