Remote Staff Software Engineer (Cloud Provider Team)

Description:

• Lead the design and development of scalable backend APIs and services for IBM Cloud integration.
• Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, and Partner teams to create intuitive and maintainable interfaces.
• Guide the evolution of Sysdig's managed service capabilities in cloud environments.
• Influence long-term architecture and technical direction for integrations with IBM Cloud.
• Champion quality and clarity in system and API design.
• Provide technical leadership through design reviews and mentorship.

Requirements:

• Experience designing and building distributed backend systems and APIs.
• Knowledge of cloud fundamentals and ability to learn IBM Cloud specifics quickly.
• Familiarity with IAM and access patterns; IBM Cloud IAM experience is a plus.
• Good understanding of SaaS operations and Kubernetes.
• Development experience in Java, Go, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL data stores.
• Understanding of API best practices and proficiency with standard engineering tools.
