Remote Staff Software Engineer, Cloud Sandboxes (West Coast)

Description:

• Design and build core systems for Docker’s Cloud Sandboxes platform.
• Focus on scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure for agentic workloads.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of backend software engineering experience in cloud or distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Go and/or Java.
• Deep understanding of container orchestration, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with highly available, secure, and observable production systems.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and scalability patterns.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Excellent problem-solving skills in distributed environments.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration across remote teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
