Remote Staff Software Engineer, Growth

Description:

• PlayOn Sports powers over 250,000 live high school sports events annually, focusing on subscription growth for fans.
• As a Staff Engineer on the Growth team, you will lead technical direction, run experiments, and enhance engineering effectiveness.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on consumer subscription growth.
• Proven technical leadership and experience in driving revenue impact through conversion, ARPU, retention, or LTV.
• Full-stack engineering skills in TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, and familiarity with Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with subscription growth systems (e.g., Stripe, Segment, Amplitude).
• Strong architectural judgment and data literacy, including SQL and product analytics tools.
• Familiarity with AI tools to enhance productivity is preferred.
• Bonus: Experience in building internal growth tooling, mobile/CTV experience, or sports media background.
