Description:

  • Luna is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their internal Engineering team, contributing to the future of healthcare delivery.
  • The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining the next generation of the internal marketplace console, including scheduling, automations, payment flow, customer communications, reports, and dashboards.
  • The engineer will identify and propose strategies for technical problems, leading cross-functional projects to enhance solutions.
  • Responsibilities include evaluating and recommending tools and technologies, mentoring less senior engineers, prioritizing tech debt, and minimizing technical complexity while delivering high-quality solutions.
  • The engineer will solve complex software problems focusing on resilience, fault tolerance, scalability, and stability, and will work with external contractors as a Team Lead.
  • The position requires testing, releasing, and monitoring code independently.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is strongly preferred.
  • Candidates must have 8+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering software across multiple stacks and/or products.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience with Ruby and 3+ years with at least one other programming language is required.
  • Comfort with both Frontend and Backend engineering is necessary, with the ability to flex between both as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to own projects from start to finish and lead cross-functional projects is essential.
  • Candidates should be proficient in developing, testing, releasing, and monitoring their own code with quality and timeliness.
  • Proficiency in leveraging open-source technologies and cloud services to enhance platform capabilities is required.
  • A self-starting, technically motivated individual with a desire to make a meaningful impact in healthcare delivery is sought.
