Luna is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their internal Engineering team, contributing to the future of healthcare delivery.
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining the next generation of the internal marketplace console, including scheduling, automations, payment flow, customer communications, reports, and dashboards.
The engineer will identify and propose strategies for technical problems, leading cross-functional projects to enhance solutions.
Responsibilities include evaluating and recommending tools and technologies, mentoring less senior engineers, prioritizing tech debt, and minimizing technical complexity while delivering high-quality solutions.
The engineer will solve complex software problems focusing on resilience, fault tolerance, scalability, and stability, and will work with external contractors as a Team Lead.
The position requires testing, releasing, and monitoring code independently.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is strongly preferred.
Candidates must have 8+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering software across multiple stacks and/or products.
A minimum of 8 years of experience with Ruby and 3+ years with at least one other programming language is required.
Comfort with both Frontend and Backend engineering is necessary, with the ability to flex between both as needed.
Demonstrated ability to own projects from start to finish and lead cross-functional projects is essential.
Candidates should be proficient in developing, testing, releasing, and monitoring their own code with quality and timeliness.
Proficiency in leveraging open-source technologies and cloud services to enhance platform capabilities is required.
A self-starting, technically motivated individual with a desire to make a meaningful impact in healthcare delivery is sought.
